Overview

We are looking for an exceptional Clinical Nurse Specialist to become a vital member of our Endometriosis Teams at The Christie Private Care and the Wilmslow Hospital in Manchester. Both facilities are renowned for their outstanding status, recognized by the Care Quality Commission. Situated at the forefront of healthcare, we have partnered with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust to bring a comprehensive suite of diagnostic, inpatient, and outpatient care all under one roof, while our Wilmslow Hospital offers cutting-edge day case procedures. This exciting opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a multidisciplinary team, building strong relationships with both Physicians and Patients. Working full-time, 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday, this position is designed for those ready to make a real impact in private healthcare.

What you will do
  • Serve as a key worker throughout the patient pathway, ensuring seamless transitions between facilities for various treatments.
  • Manage a clinical caseload and coordinate care to provide continual support for patients.
  • Work within a clear care pathway, referring to other professionals and directing patients to relevant resources.
  • Regularly assess and address the holistic needs of patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Provide critical information to patients so they can make informed decisions about their care.
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical judgment in evaluating nursing interventions, backed by solid evidence-based practices.
  • Specialise in endometriosis care and support women throughout their treatment.
  • Offer pre-operative support, ensuring patients are prepared for surgery.
  • Participate in clinical audits and contribute to the department’s BSGE recognition efforts.
  • Support data submission on the BSGE database, tracking patient outcomes post-surgery.
  • Develop patient-focused education, empowering patients with post-treatment self-management skills.
