A leading cancer hospital in Manchester is seeking a Clinical Fellow in Clinical Oncology. This position involves developing and implementing Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR). Candidates must have an MB BCh and full FRCR, with at least three years in General Medicine and completed Clinical Oncology training. The role offers a fixed-term contract with support from experienced consultants.

The successful applicant would work alongside consultants and trainees in outpatient clinics across a number of disease groups, supervising Technical Radiotherapy delivery and performing on-treatment reviews and follow-up assessments. The appointee will be a Fellow in the Department of Clinical Oncology; the employing authority is The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The post-holder will be accountable to the Clinical Director of the Directorate of Clinical Oncology and professionally responsible to the consultants in whose clinics they will be supporting. A clinical supervisor (Consultant Clinical Oncologist) will be assigned and the appointee will work alongside the supervisor in at least one clinic. The role will develop expertise in the development, management and treatment of HPB and oligometastatic tumour sites with SABR. The Clinical Oncology establishment consists of 59 Consultants, plus a team of 24 SpRs and Academic/Clinical Fellows. All activities will be conducted under the supervision of the SABR team consultant.
