A major teaching hospital in the UK is seeking a vascular surgeon at ST5 level. The role involves responsibilities in leading patient care, performing surgeries, and teaching medical students. Commitment to both clinical research and ongoing learning is essential. Participation in a rigorous on-call rota is expected, contributing to emergency and trauma care initiatives. This position is pivotal in providing outstanding care, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and educational growth within the team.
The post holder should be at the experience level of ST5. The post holder should also be able to demonstrate experience in all aspects of vascular surgery and also be competent in emergency and vascular trauma surgery. King’s is a Major Trauma Centre and the post holder will participate in SpR on call vascular emergency and vascular trauma. The department offers excellent opportunities for clinical research and candidates with a proven research interest and track record will be preferred. Commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching is mandatory.
