A leading healthcare provider in Birmingham seeks experienced Senior Radiology Trainees for a 12-month fellowship focusing on musculoskeletal imaging. Candidates will engage in clinical work and research, with ample opportunities for publication. Involvement in ultrasound, MR reporting, and CT imaging are key duties, set in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Applications are invited for these posts on a fixed term contract of 1 year at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham. Applicants will hold GMC Registration. The start dates are subject to discussion with successful candidates and will take into account CCT and individual circumstances. These posts are suitable for experienced Senior Radiology Trainees typically with CCT. You will be expected to participate in clinical work but will also have ample time and facilities for on-going research. The posts will embrace all aspects of musculoskeletal, spinal and sports injury imaging including intervention with bone, soft tissue and spinal biopsies, radio-frequency ablation, ultrasound, musculoskeletal MRI, CT and arthrography. There is no on call commitment to this post. This post would ideally suit individuals with their CCT, wishing to improve their knowledge and experience of musculoskeletal imaging prior to undertaking a substantive consultant post in this sub-specialty.
The Musculoskeletal Imaging fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital is a 12 month appointment and will embrace all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging including MRI, MR arthrography, CT, ultrasound and image guided percutaneous biopsy. There will be an opportunity to gain experience in image guided spinal intervention including cementoplasties and assist with radiofrequency frequency and cryoablation cases. The successful candidate will be also expected to be heavily involved in research and will leave the fellowship with a minimum of one publication. A flexible session will be available for audit and research.
