A healthcare institution in Derby is seeking a Clinical Fellow to join their Anaesthetic team. This role involves providing anaesthesia across various surgical specialties and participating in on-call duties. An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Fellow to join the Anaesthetic team at University Hospitals Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB), based at the Royal Derby Hospital site. The post offers the chance to gain further clinical anaesthetic experience while demonstrating knowledge and capabilities in selected clinical and non-clinical domains. The Successful applicant will contribute to anaesthesia across a range of surgical specialties based on clinical experience and educational needs. On-call duties will be on a 2-tier obstetric anaesthetic rota, within a team of trainees, specialty and specialist anaesthetists, under the leadership of the Consultant on call. Although not a formal training post and not accredited by Health Education West/East Midlands, UHDB can offer opportunities to progress your career. These are fixed-term posts and part-time options will be considered and supported where service needs allow.
• Provide anaesthesia to patients across a range of surgical specialties in line with clinical experience and educational needs. • Participate in on-call cover for obstetric anaesthesia on a 2-tier rota, with support from the on-call team of trainees and consultants.
