Overview

Position enables development in perioperative medicine with a focus on high‑risk surgical patients, anaesthesia for major surgery and pre‑operative assessment. Candidates will have opportunities for quality improvement, research, teaching, and training, and are encouraged to complete an advanced training module in perioperative medicine per RCOA guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in full shift rotas for the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) caring for emergency and elective patients.
  • Engage in clinical audit activities.
  • Assist with teaching and training.
  • Maintain Mandatory and Statutory Training (MaST) as stipulated by the Royal Free Trust.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in anaesthesia at CT1‑2 level or above.
  • At least 12 months of experience in the United Kingdom.
  • At least 3 months of experience working in Intensive Care.
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom or meet criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
Employment Details

CT3 equivalent (Stage 1 top‑up) post, out‑of‑programme for experience (OOPE) or post‑CCT experience.
