Job overview

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Core in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

This post is available as soon as possible until 01 September 2026.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit a full-time Clinical Fellow Core in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

This post is not a formal training position but there will be opportunities for professional development in academia and practical skills related to the specialty. It is essential that applicants possess experience in Oral Surgery or OMFS at DCT1 or FY level.

Expected duties will include; running outpatient clinics with supervision, assisting in theatres and participating in the on-call rota; this includes weekday, weeknights and weekend nights.

Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council or General Dental Council at time of application is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
