This post is required to support clinical leadership on the ward, with a focus on the safety and quality aspects of Patient care. The role is critical to the timely management of incidents, supporting the MDT and driving the patients input to co-produced services. This role is critical in ensuring the ward team benefits from visible clinical support/direction and it enables a firm career structure for succession planning.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Deputy Clinical Lead for Eden Ward, a Low Secure Unit for up to 13 women with forensic and complex trauma histories. This is interesting, at times challenging, but very rewarding work.
This is an exciting time to join the team. The secure services have been rated "Good" by the CQC and Eden Ward is enrolled in the national Culture of Care programme. We are also working to explore how women's secure care can be transformed and improved.
Previous experience in inpatient care and/or secure services is essential.
The post holder will be required to work within a multi-disciplinary learning disability inpatient service. The post holder will ensure that all organisational systems and processes are adhered to. The post holder will manage and organise competing and conflicting priorities and manage change in complex situations. The post holder will be a resource of clinical knowledge and competence in the service area contributing to staff and service development.
They will work over a 24-hour period and support on audit, guidelines and quality improvement approaches to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in their area. The post holder will be required to undertake trusted assessments, provide evidence-based clinical interventions and clinical leadership.
The post holder will be expected to gain skills in operational management responsibilities and in quality and safety improvement approaches as part of their Band 6 position within inpatient care.
