Clinical Coder (ACC qualified band 5) or Experienced Clinical Coder (Band 4 ) or Trainee Clinical Coder (band 3)

Are you an experienced or qualified Clinical Coder looking for your next challenge? - or an individual wishing to train and qualify as a Clinical Coder? If so, we would like to hear from you as we are recruiting to our friendly Clinical Coding team

Working across all specialties within the Trust, we can offer you the opportunity to train as a Clinical Coder or to continue to develop extensive multi disciplines coding skills.

Our work is currently mainly office based but we do offer some hybrid coding on a rota basis. The Trust is due to implement a full Electronic Patient Record in 2027 which is an exciting time for our coders as full remote working will become an option.

Main duties of the job

Trained coders should have a track record of high quality coding, excellent communication skills and be prepared to mentor junior staff if the need arises.

Those wishing to train as a coder should evidence previous work that required close attention to detail and demonstrate a passion for learning new skills.

You will be responsible for the application of clinical codes for inpatients in any specialty in the Trust.
