A recruitment agency in the Greater London area is seeking Functional Assessors to evaluate claimants' health and work capabilities. This role is available for Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, and Pharmacists. Qualifications

Overview

Functional Assessor (PIP / WCA) - Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics and Pharmacists

Full-time positions available. Hybrid remote roles with no weekends, bank holidays, or long shifts.

Salary
  • PIP Functional Assessor (3 assessments per day) - GBP39,000 - GBP41,000 + Excellent Bonus Scheme.
  • WCA Functional Assessor (5/6 shorter assessments per day) - GBP41,500 - GBP43,500 + Excellent Bonus Scheme.
  • Note: each role is subject to availability and needs in each geographical area. Ideally candidates should be willing to do either role; if someone has a strong preference, we may be able to accommodate, though this cannot be guaranteed.
Hours

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Full-time positions available after training.

Role Overview

Conduct Assessments: Evaluate claimants' health and/or work capabilities via phone and face-to-face assessments.

Review Evidence: Analyse medical evidence, health questionnaires, and daily living activities.

Compile Reports: Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Example Tasks
  • Interview claimants to understand their health conditions and daily challenges.
  • Review medical records and write comprehensive reports.
  • Provide recommendations based on thorough assessments.
Training Program

Successful candidates will complete a 12-week comprehensive training program covering (amongst other things):

  • Assessment Techniques: Best practices for accurate evaluations.
  • DWP Guidelines: Requirements and guidelines of the Department for Work and Pensions.
  • Report Writing: Skills for detailed and objective reporting.

Requirements
