Job description
Overview

Donard Recruitment is recruiting for hybrid working roles for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics as a Functional Specialist. This position involves providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government’s disability allowance (PIP) while delivering a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.

Responsibilities
  • Manage caseloads end to end, including delivering face to face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper based reports (PBR).
  • Provide multi-skilled assessment and determine the appropriate plan to conclude cases with greater job variety and autonomy.
  • Assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting claimants, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.
  • Ensure time is built into the working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
