Job description

As a Client Accounting Project Officer, you'll play a key part in shaping new accounting processes, introducing smarter ways of working, and helping to drive greater efficiency across the business. It's a position that blends technical accounting with transformation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both numbers and innovation.

Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Working with transformation teams to improve bookkeeping and financial statement preparation processes.
  • Assisting with testing of new templates and automated workflows, analysing and collating feedback.
  • Leading the implementation of new accounting policies and processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Acting as a liaison between accounting teams and technology specialists, guiding colleagues through process changes and new systems.
  • Liaising with software and service providers to resolve issues and propose enhancements.
  • Providing regular updates to senior management on the progress of accounting projects.
  • Supporting the drafting of proposals and reports for presentation to the Board of Directors.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold an ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification and demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge. They will have experience with accounting systems and an understanding of reporting and automation tools such as SSRS and Power BI. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey technical changes clearly to both accountants and technology specialists. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to meet deadlines and support colleagues through change. A positive, collaborative approach and the ability to consider the wider business impact of accounting changes will also be key.
