Job summary

A local charity hospice is seeking a part-time Cleaning and Catering Assistant to prepare and serve meals, and maintain cleanliness in the Warwick hospice. The successful candidate will have relevant experience, food safety knowledge, and a willingness to learn. At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life‑limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much‑loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 25 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team as a Cleaning and Catering Assistant.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to patients, visitors, staff members and volunteers
  • Undertake laundry, cleaning and housekeeping activities
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety

You will be based at our Warwick hospice, however, you may be expected to travel to Coventry or Rugby on occasion.

This is a permanent, part time position, working 22.5 hours per week on a rota (which can include weekends and bank holidays).

About you
  • Kitchen Assistant, Catering or Housekeeping experience
  • Food safety and hygiene knowledge
  • A willingness to undertake training
  • The right to work in the UK (we cannot provide sponsorship)

This role will involve a standard DBS check, because it involves interacting with patients. We will arrange and cover the cost of this check.
