Role Summary

As a Cleaning and Catering Assistant, you will support the clinical team by maintaining a safe, clean and hygienic environment and providing a basic catering service to our inpatients. You will clean clinical and non‑clinical areas according to NHS cleaning protocols and serve food to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe, clean & hygienic environment in the hospital following NHS cleaning protocols.
  • Clean both clinical and non‑clinical areas.
  • Serve food to inpatients as part of the basic catering service.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Speak fluent English to an appropriate standard (assessed at interview).

Benefits & Pay
  • Starting pay £12.36 per hour; hourly rates: £12.51 weekdays, £17.63 weekday nights (after 8 pm) & Saturday, £22.89 Sunday and Bank Holiday.
  • Pay uplift for unsociable hours.
  • 27 days holiday per year pro‑rata.

  • Flexible part‑time or full‑time shift pattern: Monday‑Friday 13.30‑20.00 (30 hrs) or 16.00‑20.00 (20 hrs).
