Job description

Scraptoft Valley Primary School require a Permanent Cleaner L1 to join our team.

11 hours 15 minutes per week (Monday to Friday : 3.15 pm - 5.30 pm) 38 term weeks per year plus 45 hours during the holiday by prior arrangement.

Grade 1 SCP 2 - £24413 per annum pro rata (£6899 per annum)

Major Objectives
  • To ensure that the correct equipment is used for each specific cleaning task.
  • To follow the appropriate instructions and COSHH regulations when using cleaning materials.
  • To wear the appropriate clothing, shoes, gloves, etc for the tasks involved.
  • To follow and be aware of responsibilities for Health & Safety measures designed to protect self, other staff and users of the premises.
  • To ensure that windows and doors are closed when work is finished.
  • To provide refreshments for pre‑arranged meetings where appropriate.
  • To implement and promote Leicester City Council's (the rest of the sentence might be truncated but included).

The successful candidate must hold or be willing to apply for a full Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) disclosure. To help achieve our mission statement, the successful candidate will be employed as part of a team to keep the inside areas of the school building clean to promote a safe and pleasant learning environment.
