Job Title: Cleaning Operative

Overview of Role:

As a cleaning operative, you will undertake cleaning duties across the site, ensuring a complete cleaning service in compliance with CQC and Health & Safety Regulations. (The CQC ensures health services provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.)

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Ensure assigned areas are clean, presentable, and serviceable at all times to improve customer experience.
  2. Maintain a clean environment throughout the hospital in line with operational standards.
  3. Present yourself professionally and courteously, adhering to company policies, procedures, guidelines, and values.
  4. Complete all duties related to cleaning and waste collection within designated premises.
  5. Perform physical tasks, including lifting, as required.
  6. Conduct comprehensive cleaning, including washing floors, emptying bins, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting to meet hygiene standards.
  7. Assist with laundry duties and rotas if required.
  8. Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  9. Take responsibility for maintaining high standards in your area.
  10. Foster good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  11. Comply with all statutory regulations at all times.
  12. Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by your line manager.
