Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! The Business Services Department is looking for a Cleaner to keep our stations clean, safe and functional. This role works behind the scenes in our operational police station, and you will be part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities
  • Use specialist equipment and chemicals to clean washrooms and kitchens.
  • Vacuum and mop floors.
  • Operate floor machines such as scrubbers and dryers.
  • Empty bins and perform other general cleaning duties.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of health and safety legislation and comply with cleaning safety standards.
  • Carry out physical tasks that may require working at height.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Willingness to learn, ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Reasonable level of fitness, punctuality and reliability.
  • Resident of the UK for a minimum of 3 years to enable vetting clearance.
