Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene around a local primary school ensuring that all areas are clean, sanitised, tidy and presentable. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Must have experience in lone working and can work on own initiative. Working Hours are Monday to Friday 3.30-5.30PM. An Enhanced DBS certificate is required for this position, holding one on the update system would be an advantage for Immediate start. Experience in cleaning is not essential as full training will be provided. Must have all relevant identification and able to download time and attendance app onto mobile phone.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in all areas including Classrooms, toilet areas, corridors, staff rooms etc and communal spaces.
• Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, and mopped as necessary.
• Dispose of waste and recycling materials appropriately.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address any cleaning needs or concerns.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
• Drive to various locations as required for cleaning assignments.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication skills in English to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence is advantageous.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
