Hours: 20 hours per week

Working: Monday to Friday (5pm - 9pm)

About Role

Are you reliable, hardworking, and ready to join a friendly and supportive team? We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to work at Churcher's College, Ramshill, Petersfield, GU31 4AS.

As a Cleaner with Sodexo, you will play a key role in ensuring the school standards of cleanliness are met on a daily basis whilst maintaining a professional and presentable appearance at all times. This is an essential role that requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

What you’ll do

• Maintain a tidy appearance and professional conduct at all times
• Monitor and maintain all areas of responsibility to the set standard of cleanliness within the timeframe given, complying at all times with standards laid down in the work schedule
• Clean bathroom and changing facilities throughout the school
• Clean classrooms, meeting rooms, multi‑use facilities
• Undertake a periodic cleaning programme as directed
• Ensure safety signage is used at all times – e.g., wet floor
• Carry out all aspects of the cleaning required on site
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance – comply with company regulations, wearing uniform provided
• Follow and complete cleaning schedules to agreed standards
• Follow COSHH regulations when using chemicals and cleaning equipment
• Immediately report defective equipment to the Line Manager
• Communicate cleaning material requirements to the Line Manager
• Maintain a safe system of work within the Company Health and Safety Procedures laid down
• Assist colleagues with departmental responsibilities once duties are completed
• Continue to develop skills and knowledge within the position
• Carry out all reasonable tasks as directed by supervisor/management

Essential

• Ability to liaise with people at a Senior Level both internally & externally
• Ability to work on own initiative, as there is an element of lone working on occasions
