Job description

Job Title: Cleaner

Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Type of Employment: Part Time

Hours: 15 hours per week

Location: CHP-Thames View Health Centre, Bastable Avenue, Barking, Essex, England, IG11 0LG

Responsibilities and duties

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order, meeting all agreed SLAs.
• Apply knowledge of designated cleaning area, understand when work needs to be carried out and use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely as per Health and Safety requirements.
• Undertake all required training to deliver the cleaning role successfully.
• Work within a team but able to work independently with initiative.
• Build positive, productive working relationships with customers, deliver excellent customer service and continuously seek improvements to exceed expectations.

Requirements and attributes

• Ability to communicate and read basic English.
• Previous cleaning experience desirable but not essential.
• Flexible approach, open, honest, self‑driven and determined.
• Reliable, hardworking with a professional attitude.
