36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, Fixed term until 31 March 2026

Role

An Opportunity has arisen within the CLD Youth Services Team for a Senior Youth Development Worker to work in the ELEV8 Training Programme. The post will be Fixed Term until March 2026 as we have external funding through the Scottish Government No One Left Behind Programme.

Responsibilities
  • You will work with individuals and groups of young people who are engaging with the Training Programme (a programme of learning for unemployed young people aged 16-24).
  • You will work with colleagues and the young people to develop their skills and confidence to progress them onto training, further education or employment.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
