Role Overview

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Your role will involve supporting individual students and small groups within the classroom, assisting teachers with lesson plans, following EHCPs and ensuring that each child\'s needs are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalized learning plans.
  • Help with classroom management and create a positive, inclusive environment.
  • Monitor and record students\' progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents.
  • Support students with personal care needs if required.
  • Contribute to the creation and adaptation of learning resources.
