If this sounds like you, then this is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a Classroom Assistant role in an extremely well-respected primary school in Devizes.

A welcoming, bright and child‑oriented primary school based in Devizes is currently recruiting for a classroom assistant to promote and support classroom learning in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring teachers to initiate their career in education and to gain an understanding of the National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage, support and develop the learning of children, assisting with the delivery of creative and well‑planned lessons.
• Stimulate a dynamic and effective learning environment that enables learners to flourish and maximise their potential.
• Support the learning across the curriculum in core subjects such as Maths and English to foundation subjects such as Geography and PE.
• Provide a spark for a child's light‑bulb moment.
• Work alongside specialist and driven teachers to promote and support classroom learning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Recent graduate or experienced classroom assistant seeking a new challenge.
• Desirable: previous working experience with children, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, assisting in a nursery, childcare or similar classroom setting.
• Experience supporting children with ASD, behavioural issues and learning difficulties would be extremely beneficial.
