Pay:From £15.19 per hour

HGV Class 2 Drivers (Leicester, LE4)

A minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is required

Job location: Leicester, LE4
Pay rate: £15.19 per hour, weekly pay in arrears, every Friday

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday | 7am-5pm
Incentive bonus:

• £150 after 4 weeks
• £150 after 8 weeks

Duties & Responsibilities

The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse lorry and assisting loaders with collecting/emptying bins from residential premises, returning them where necessary, and ensuring all additional work and missed bins are completed.

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
• Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week
• Ensure completion of all additional work and missed bins
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
• Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely

Person Specification

• UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 6 months)
• Digital tachograph card & CPC card
• Good team working skills and good communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
