We can only accept PAYE drivers - no limited company or Umbrella drivers, sorry.

The roles are working Monday to Friday and we have the below start times and routes available:

  • 16:00 starts - trunking to Yorkshire
  • 17:00 starts - trunking to Liverpool
  • 18:00 starts - trunking to Northampton

The shifts will be between 10‑12 hours long. The pay rate is £19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Trunking to one of the above mentioned locations
  • Helping to offload items as and when required (although this will be very rare)
  • Adhering to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Health and Safety and relevant Driving laws and regulations
  • Performing vehicle checks and reporting any faults or defects
  • Following the rules on fuel economy and harsh breaking
  • Liaising with the depot
Assessment Process
  • A questionnaire or driving rules and regulations
  • Eyesight check
  • Vehicle check, check/reporting for any defects or safety issues
  • Actual drive around
  • Classroom based SSOW (Safe Systems of Work) training

After the assessment, you will then be buddied up with one of their other drivers for a few days so that you can learn the job before you can start working by yourself.

Qualifications
  • Candidates will need to hold a valid C+E category driving licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph cards and have no more than 6 points on their licence for minor offences (no MS90, IN10, DD or DR or similar endorsements).
  • Due to the location of the company, you will need to have access to your own transport.
  • The client will consider newly qualified C+E drivers as long as you have worked in a 7.5 tonne or Class 2 role previously.

If the positions sound of your interest, please apply online, or, alternatively, please call our driving consultant Sinita from Blue Arrow Bristol on (phone number removed) for more information.
