Qualifications

CLASS 1 NIGHT TRUNK DRIVER

LOCATION: Skegness, Lincolnshire

JOB TITLE: Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

JOB TYPE: Full time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday - 15:00pm - 00:00am with occasional weekends (paid at overtime rate)

PAY: £160.63 per day

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

This role involves trunking duties between depots, with manual handling, making it ideal for drivers who prefer straightforward night runs. You'll be operating modern, well‑maintained vehicles and adhering to all driver regulations, including tachograph and working time directives.

Main Duties:
  • Perform daily defect vehicle checks each day.
  • Loading the vehicle with Garments, Consumables, Mats and Roller Towels using the handheld personal digital assistant (PDA), also known as a handheld PC, where appropriate.
  • Delivering/Collecting to and from our internal depots.
  • To complete relevant paperwork necessary for the route.
  • Maintaining the driver’s Route Book for the route.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicles daily.
Qualifications:
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
  • Valid Driver Class 1C+E Lorry – Essential.
  • Up to date CPC Card - Essential.
Personal attributes:
  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • Self‑motivated and committed to the business.
  • Good at staying focused and coping with pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to use initiative.
  • Physically capable for the manual handling requirements of the role.
