Job description

Job Title: LGV Class 1 Driver

Location: Coalville (LE67 1EU) and surrounding sites (Northampton, Atherstone, Coventry, East Midlands Airport)

Pay: £17.25 per hour + £10 subsistence per day (for 6 shifts)

Contract: Perm from Day 1 (Probation Period 6 weeks)

Key Details

• Shifts: Willing to work 5 days out of a 7 day working week, minimum 8 hours per day (average 8–10 hours)
• Weekly Pay: 1 week held in advance
• Work Type: Trunking mail and parcels between depots
• Tasks:
  • Load/unload cages at NDC or super hub (Manual Handling will be required on these jobs)
  • Secure loads and follow safety procedures
  • Occasional collections (swap empty/full trailers)
• Sites: Depots and Hubs

Requirements

• LGV Class 1 licence (New pass drivers accepted on passing a driving assessment)
• CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• Max 6 penalty points (no IN, DD, CD, DR endorsements)
• Over 25 (insurance requirement)
• Proof of address and 3 licences copies
• Ability to travel to Coalville and other sites
• Good knowledge of BLACK coupling
• Flexible to work any 5 out of 7 days (6th shift optional)
