Qualifications

• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card required.
• ADR licence preferred but not essential.
• Experience of flatbed trailers preferred but training is provided.

Location : Glenbervie

Shift : 5 out of 7, Monday to Friday

About the Role

As a Class 1 Shunter, you will :

• Use an articulated unit for internal shunting within customer premises, ensuring load security, and adhering to site safety policies.
• Relocate loaded trailersfrom the loading bays to other unloading sites for Macphies. Internal only.
• Liaise with the transport office to provide updates on trailer status, safety checks, and load conditions.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the internal and external transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices internally and externally.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• ADR licence is preferred but not essential.
• Experience of flatbed trailers is preferred but not essential (full training provided).
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
