Job summary

Orion Group are working with a successful and growing Highland-based contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the region, to source an experienced Civils Estimator to add to their Inverness based Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate estimates and costings for civil engineering projects (roads, earthworks, water and drainage).
  • Review tender and technical documentation to ensure competitive and reliable pricing.
  • Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate rates and gather accurate quotations.
  • Contribute to tendering strategies, increasing the company's chances of winning projects.
  • Provide reports and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in civil estimating.
  • Experience of pricing earthworks, roads, and infrastructure works.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documents.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and negotiating skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Advantageous: familiarity with estimating software.
  • Applicant must have experience of Estimating projects within the UK.
