Role

Design Engineer (Civils) in our waste networks design team. In this role, you’ll be undertaking design on a wide range of wastewater infrastructure projects as part of our AMP8 WINEP programme. You will undertake initial feasibility evaluation for AMP8 CSO projects and progress projects into Outline Design, developing innovative technical design solutions and specifications to support project delivery.

You will own the design from start to finish and play a major part in our capital investment process. You’ll work with a team of design engineers and hydraulic modellers, providing support to Senior Engineers to deliver project solutions to programme, within budget, to the correct quality standards.

The role will be based in Coventry.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll have knowledge of early-stage feasibility work, alongside experience in producing designs and specifications for wastewater projects. A flair for innovation in design is essential, helping to shape creative and effective solutions.

Having a civils background is essential, alongside experience executing duties as a designer under CDM regulations. Understand or have knowledge of hydraulic modelling packages and their limitations would be desirable.

Demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across internal and external partners is required. As a forward-thinking and innovative professional, you’ll be adept at anticipating challenges and adapting to change in a fast-paced, evolving environment. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
