Overview

261695BR Christmas Customer Advisor – Cookstown, 5-7 James Street. Fixed Term Part-time. The salary for this role is £12.40 per hour.

The festive season at Boots is a busy and important time. As a Christmas Customer Assistant, you will be at the heart of the action, greeting customers, offering product and gift advice, and creating a memorable experience that encourages repeat visits.

This is a great opportunity whether you are starting your career or have retail or customer service experience and want a fresh challenge. If you love helping people and making their day, this is the job for you. While this is a temporary contract, there may be potential for a permanent role later depending on local opportunities.

About the role

You will work in a Boots store, reporting to the Assistant or Store Manager. Your responsibilities include:

  • Customer Interaction: Offer thoughtful advice, recommend products, highlight offers and ensure customers have an enjoyable shopping experience.
  • Till Operation: Contribute energy and efficiency to transactions, including wrapping at the counter and supporting self-checkout.
  • Stock Management: Keep shelves full so customers can find what they need during the peak season.
  • Store Presentation: Ensure areas look their best at all times.
  • Online Order Support: Assist with deliveries, picking and packing for online orders as needed.
What you'll need to have

Full training is provided, but these are the essential skills or experience needed:

  • Available to work Bank Holidays including Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.
  • Customer Service Skills: Comfortable approaching customers and providing a personalised experience.
  • Operations Ready: Ability to balance customer care with daily shop floor and operational tasks.
  • Tech-Savvy: Ability to learn and use new technology, including handheld devices, tills and self-checkouts.
  • Team Player: A collaborative, one-team mindset to help achieve store goals.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to be on your feet, standing, walking and lifting.
  • Brand Ambassador: Enthusiastic about Boots ethos, products and services.

Need To Know

We are recruiting Christmas Customer Advisors for our Cookstown store. We are looking for candidates to start from October 2025 onwards. Shifts may include weekends and run between 9:00 and 17:00. Exact shift patterns will be discussed at interview. The advert may close early if requirements are met.
