Overview

Children’s Social Worker – Team: Fostering; Location: Derbyshire; Rate: £35. Details: Post is for full time workers only. Hybrid working – Face to face visits within county plus minimum of 1 day per week in office with team.

Applicant needs experience in working in fostering service, ideally as a supervising social worker. Pay rate is negotiable dependant upon experience in line with regional capped rates.

Responsibilities

Supervising social worker, provides regular supervision to our foster carers to ensure practice is in accordance with national minimum standards. Will be supported with regular supervision themselves from our management team. The role covers the whole of Derbyshire; these two roles will focus on serving the south of the county where possible. It is essential that you have your own mode of transport and are able to travel. The role involves writing reports such as annual reviews for foster carers and presenting at panel.

Requirements

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate
• Excellent communication skills and ability to make good decisions based on information available
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency setups
• Possess knowledge of service needs
• Competent IT skills and ability to navigate electronic file/recording systems
• Ability to write clear, concise, robust assessments/reports/files
• Flexible approach to work and working hours when needed
