About the Children’s Support Workers in Rowley Regis role

Elwood Recruitment are looking to recruit dedicated and experienced children’s support workers to support vulnerable children and young people age 5-18 within a residential service.

As part of the care and support team you will assist in maintaining a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to children and young people living with moderate to severe learning disabilities, ADHD, complex needs, physical disabilities and sexualised behaviours (LD).

Children could present emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and some elements of this role require personal care alongside promoting independent living skills in line with person centred support plans.

Successful applicants will be
  • Supporting, mentoring and educating children with day to day activities to develop their emotional and social needs
  • Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
  • Positive engagement to encourage children and young people in their development
  • Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of on‑going development plan.
  • Managing complex and behaviours that may challenge
  • Support and engagement with a range of activities

On offer we have flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle, giving you full control of when you would like to work. Candidates can expect to be offered a mixture of earlies, lates, long days and waking nights on a weekly basis.
