A children's care home provider is seeking a Team Leader to oversee shifts and mentor new team members in Ormskirk. You will ensure high standards of care, support care planning, and engage in educational activities for young people aged 8 to 17. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 or 4 and experience in a residential setting. This position offers £14.50 per hour plus sleep-in pay, with a commitment to compassionate care and staff development.
Your role: As a Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in leading practice on shift. You will mentor and support new team members, oversee day-to-day operations, and act as the key point of contact for reporting to higher management. You'll conduct staff supervisions, provide progress updates, and raise any concerns related to team or young person dynamics, advising when management intervention may be needed. You will act as a Key Worker where necessary, taking primary responsibility for the care and development of a designated young person.
