Job description
Overview

We are looking for compassionate, resilient support workers who can provide steady, nurturing care to children and young people in a brand new home opening in Northampton for a very established service provider. We are open to candidates without children’s residential experience but who have worked in similar services. The young people you'll support will be aged between 7-17 and have faced challenging and sometimes traumatic experiences. This can mean heightened behaviours, or moments of distress that require patience, resilience, and a calm, confident presence. But alongside these challenges come the breakthroughs—the small steps forward, the laughter, the trust, and the achievements that remind you why this work matters.

Responsibilities
  • In this role, you'll help young people feel safe, valued, and supported to grow. You'll build genuine relationships, be consistent and reliable, and use therapeutic approaches like DDP and PACE to help them make sense of their world.
  • You'll be a role model, a trusted adult, and a vital part of a young person's journey toward independence, wellbeing, and reaching their full potential.
