Qualifications

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We're excited to present an incredible opportunity for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join a leading children's residential service in Middle Barton, Oxfordshire.

Supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours, this role offers a rewarding career path in a dynamic and nurturing environment.

Location: Middle Barton. Shifts: 7 on 7 off with a day off through the week. Permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and foster independence tailored to their age
  • Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential home
  • Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of children at all times
  • Support young people in their personal development and well‑being
  • Uphold safety procedures and work in line with care plans, guidelines, and communication methods
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals, such as psychologists
Essential Requirements
  • Full driving licence and personal vehicle (sleep allowance included)
  • Over 21 years of age
  • Passionate about working with young people and making a positive impact
  • Experience in a social care or healthcare setting is desirable
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable)
  • Willing to commute to Middle Barton, Oxfordshire
