This hybrid role requires attendance at the office once a month and involves managing a complex caseload, including PLO and adoption matters. A local authority based in South London is seeking a Childcare Lawyer on an interim basis. The role is to start ASAP and will be for an initial 3-month contract.
The successful candidate will be joining a highly successful, supportive, and collegiate team. The council have confirmed that local government experience will be required for the role.
This Childcare Lawyer position is a hybrid working role. Currently, the role will require you to attend the office 1. day per month.
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in carrying a complex caseload of PLO and cases in proceedings. You will have experience dealing with contact issues, emergency protection, non-accidental injury, adoption, supervision, and special guardianship matters. You will also need to have previous experience providing advice under the Children Act.
As mentioned above, flexible working is available with this role. Candidates must have a current practising certificate to be considered for this position.
