Child & Family Advanced Practitioner

Location: Stroud
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
Pay: Up to £42.00 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role: We're looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our Children and Families Team in Stroud as an Advanced Practitioner. This is a vital role where you will play a key part in delivering a first-class service to improve the lives and futures of children and young people across Gloucestershire.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage a protected caseload of children and young people with complex and challenging needs, risks, and circumstances.
  • Lead and support quality control and service improvement initiatives within the team and across the wider service.
  • Drive performance activities to ensure high standards of social work practice and service delivery.
  • Work within a hybrid model - conduct visits and provide duty service in the office, complete administrative tasks from home.
  • Ensure all children are seen face-to-face unless COVID confirmed, prioritising direct contact and engagement.
  • Be office-based more during the initial period to help build strong team cohesion and provide stability.
  • Use provided laptop and smartphone to work efficiently and stay connected.
