Job summary

A leading technology firm is seeking an experienced CTO to shape the technology vision for their platform while managing and scaling a globally distributed engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling engineering organizations, delivering AI-driven products, and experience in startup environments. Responsibilities include defining technology architecture and collaborating with Product and Client Delivery teams. This is a fully remote role open to candidates anywhere in Europe.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering leadership, including CTO or VP of Engineering roles.
• Proven track record in fast-paced startups, ideally in B2B or SaaS AI/ML.
• Strong understanding of US and European markets.

Teqconnect are on the lookout for a CTO to join our client, they are a one-stop shop for customers who want to enhance their business with proven, up-to-date solutions based on conversational AI and technologies beyond it: LLMs, NLP, Speechtech. Their team brings huge cutting-edge, specialized expertise in Natural Language Processing and Speech Technologies.

We are looking for a CTO with a proven track record in scaling engineering organizations, delivering AI-driven products, and aligning technical strategy with business outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technology vision and architecture of the platform, aligned with product and business goals
• Lead and grow a high-performing, globally distributed engineering team
• Drive hands-on technical leadership when necessary (architecture reviews, problem-solving, decision making)
• Collaborate closely with Product, ML and Client Delivery teams

Must-Haves

• MUST have startup experience in SaaS scale up
• Someone who had experience scaling engineering teams to at least 100 -150 people
• Huge plus will be experience not just with SaaS, but with on-prem and/or private/isolated client deployments.
• Experience in building and running ML platforms/solutions
• 10+ years in engineering leadership roles, including as a CTO, VP of Engineering in high-scale environments
• Proven track record in fast-paced startups, ideally in B2B or SaaS AI/ML domains, with a strong understanding of the US and European markets
• Strong hands-on background in Python, with deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and MLOps
