Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced candidate for the role of Senior Management Function 1 (SMF1) to lead regulatory compliance efforts and support the strategic growth of our UK operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of FCA regulations, strong leadership capabilities, and proven experience in the financial services sector.
This role is critical to:
- Maintaining our FCA license through strong compliance and governance practices.
- Upgrading our wholesale license to a retail license, supporting the company’s expansion strategy.
- Promoting the company brand through external engagement and industry presence.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies.
- Develop and implement effective governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive performance improvement initiatives.
- Oversee risk management practices and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting.
- Provide guidance and support to team members and promote a culture of compliance.
- Prepare and present reports to the board and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in upgrading our wholesale license to retail status to expand our market reach.
- Represent the company at various events and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the financial services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance standards.
