An organization dedicated to social justice is looking for an inclusive and visionary CEO to advance public participation and democracy in the UK. The ideal candidate will demonstrate collaborative leadership, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to social justice. This role aims to enhance the engagement of citizens in decision-making processes that impact their lives. Interested applicants should contact the Executive Search Partners directly for more information.
Democracy is the bedrock of our freedom and prosperity, and our capacity as a society to act on issues of social and environmental justice. But democracy in the UK is under threat – trust in politics is low, extremism is on the rise, and the resurgence of autocracy across the world shows the route to tyranny that the UK could also follow if we are complacent.
The renewal of democracy is, therefore, one of the most important issues of our time, and a cornerstone of this renewal is greater participation by the public in the decisions that affect their lives.
Over two decades, Involve has built a unique reputation for expertise and delivery in the field of participatory and deliberative techniques. It has also built a deep expertise in the power dynamics that determine how public participation can lead to meaningful change. With the UK finding itself at a significant crossroads, we are looking towards an ambitious future, where we are grasping the opportunity to make the case for participation and democracy at every level of life.
We are looking for an inclusive, visionary CEO who can help take Involve to the next level. We would value a collaborative, strategic CEO who leads with kindness, empathy and ambition, and with a deep commitment to social justice and the role that Involve can play in improving the lives of citizens.
