A local charity based in England is seeking a Chief Executive to lead its operations, drive strategic initiatives, and advocate for older people. The successful candidate will provide effective leadership to the management team and ensure financial stability while promoting an inclusive organizational culture. This role requires strong abilities in strategic planning, financial management, and advocacy.
Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin is an independent local charity and a member of the national Age UK network. We are committed to delivering the network’s shared strategy and supporting local older people to Change the Way we Age.
We have a robust governance structure overseen by an active, highly skilled Trustee Board that brings a range of expertise to support our Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. We are seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive to lead the senior management team, provide leadership, develop and implement strategic and operational plans, lead income generation, partnerships, influencing and business development, and act as an effective advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries.
The Chief Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the charity, providing effective leadership and direction for the organisation. The successful candidate will instil a positive culture, motivate the team to achieve strong results, and demonstrate a passion for supporting older people through their experiences. You will develop highly effective partnerships, be an active listener, an excellent communicator and an influencer and ambassador for the charity.
