A leading manufacturer of car care maintenance products is hiring for a Chemistry Laboratory technician to join their Manchester team. From paints and waxes, to cleaners and detergents, to winter care, the laboratory technician will support the development chemists in both formulation development and QC testing.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the performance of stability testing of all formulations to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • To ensure the recording of all stability test results and to report any issues to the relevant chemist.
  • To maintain laboratory equipment servicing.
  • Assist chemists with product development through product testing where required.
  • To assist with customer support, both internal and external and the handling of complaints.
  • Support the Chemists and Research & Development Manager with any lab tasks such as administration tasks, sampling and cleaning.
  • Work within the correct quality procedures and health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure the laboratory is clean and tidy for both health & safety reasons and also so the laboratory is ready for any visitors such as customers and/or audits.
  • Any other tasks requested by your line manager, or any other business manager / director.
Qualifications, skills and experience
  • Chemistry degree is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous laboratory experience is desirable
  • Can do attitude and team working mentality
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision once trained
  • Own vehicle is essential
