Johnson test Papers are recruiting for an experienced Research Chemist to join a small and developing team at their site based in Oldbury, West Midlands.

Research Chemist Role:
  • Develop new products to defined performance, cost and timescale targets
  • Propose innovative solutions to aid business growth
  • You will have the opportunity to work in the R&D department using high-hazard materials
  • Involved in the application of techniques for handling sensitive materials
  • Preparation and carrying out experiments in accordance to a set plan.
  • You will plan and prioritise tasks effectively to ensure all work is carried out in the allotted time
Your Background:
  • Masters Degree level qualification in Chemistry (not Biology)
  • Experience with Organic Synthesis (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience working with a variety of chemicals and reagents
  • You will be enthusiastic with good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and be very task-orientated
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills
  • Experience of working in a chemistry laboratory environment for at least 1 year, with good laboratory skills and product formulation will be beneficial
