We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a Process Industry Manufacturing Technician Apprentice to join the team, contributing to safe and efficient production through hands-on involvement in chemical processing, quality control, and compliance with industry standards. You will support day-to-day operations including weighing, dispensing, and mixing activities, off-loading tankers, and maintaining accurate production records.
This apprenticeship provides a foundation for a career in process manufacturing, offering practical skills in batch processing, health and safety compliance, and quality assurance, while gaining experience in continuous improvement and team communication within a supportive environment.
Joining Miswa Chemicals Ltd provides potential for a full-time position at the conclusion of the apprenticeship. You will gain on-the-job training and develop the competence needed for manufacturing and process operations. The programme supports a pathway to becoming a registered Science or Engineering Technician (RSci/Eng Tech) and offers opportunities to specialise in process optimisation, quality control, or maintenance, with potential progression into supervisory roles.
About You
You are practical, level-headed, able to multitask, and attentive to detail. You should be a team player who can also work independently, curious, and eager to learn. You will bring a strong work ethic, be quick to learn, comfortable using technology and digital systems to support production and record-keeping, and approach work with commitment and reliability in a safety- and quality-focused environment.
You must be 18+ and have a full UK driving licence to be eligible for this role due to the chemicals used and shift patterns.
Previous manufacturing experience is not essential. The programme values attitude, curiosity, and commitment. You may be a school or college leaver or someone retraining. If you are enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to learn, you will fit in.
Eligibility
Minimum requirements follow UK Government rules for apprenticeships. Applicants must show that the program will provide new knowledge and skills beyond current qualifications. If you already hold a Level 3, degree, or related higher qualification, or substantial relevant experience, you may not be eligible for apprenticeship funding.
You must be over 18, not in full-time education, have lived in the UK for 3 years and have the right to work in the UK.
