Job description

Role:
If you have a few hours spare in a week and want to be part of a valued team, The Salvation Army needs you! Jobs will include sorting and pricing donations, ironing clothes, serving tea and coffee, and making customers feel welcome.

Volunteers must be able to use their own initiative to get a range of jobs completed.

Time commitment:
A few hours a week – dependent on volunteer availability.

About the organisation:
The Salvation Army is an integral part of the Christian Church, although distinctive in government and practice. The Army’s doctrine follows the mainstream of Christian belief, and its articles of faith emphasize God’s saving purposes. Its objects are ‘the advancement of the Christian religion… of education, the relief of poverty, and other charitable objects beneficial to society or the community of mankind as a whole.’
