Scope of Role

As part of the CE&I Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for the development and delivery of engineering designs for a range of systems with significant and challenging functional safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with mechanical, process and safety case engineers to develop clear and unambiguous functional safety requirements
• Delivering innovative engineering solutions to meet the defined requirements
• Producing and checking technical reports, calculations, and design basis documentation
• Supporting fault identification through HAZOP/HAZID studies
• Supporting ALARP workshops and optioneering studies to support risk reduction

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience applying functional safety / safety case methodologies in regulated or high-hazard sectors
• Strong understanding of IEC standards: 61508, 61511, and 61513
• Ability to justify engineering decisions using risk-based thinking
• Familiarity with planning and project delivery processes across complex engineering environments, ACTEMIUM Design, a trading name of North West Projects Limited, has over 35-years' experience of multidiscipline engineering design across the full project lifecycle, including support through manufacture, testing and installation/commissioning in both the nuclear and non-nuclear environment.
