A community support service in Cardiff seeks a Personal Assistant to help a gentleman engage with local activities. The role involves providing mobility assistance, encouraging social interaction, and promoting independence, offering £14.75 per hour for flexible part-time hours. Personal Assistant
I am a 70-year gentleman, living in the Heath area of Cardiff. I am recovering from an accident which caused injury to my head and to both knees. I have mobility however, unable to walk any great distance. I am looking to employ a personal care assistant(s) to support me accessing activities in my local community.
The PA will provide support to enable me to access local amenities such as cafes and short, easily accessible walks. To keep me safe and prevent falling and support me to maintain my independence away from my close family network.
Supporting me to access my local community.
Occasionally in my home but mainly in the community.
6 hours to be delivered as 2 x 3 hour sessions, flexible days and times to be discussed at interview
£14.75 per hour.
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
