Job Description: Catering Supervisor

North Manchester General Hospital - Crumpsall M8 5RB

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust

Working 5 days out of 7 per week on a flexible rota. No fixed shifts – minimum of 15 hours per week to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week. Operational hours #removed# every day. Flexibility required to work any shift between these hours.

Band 3 – £13.60 per hour (Weekdays), £18.36 per hour (Saturdays) & £22.99 per hour (Sundays/Bank Holidays).

We have 2 x ongoing long-term placements available for Catering Supervisors at North Manchester General Hospital in Crumpsall.

Duties
  • Leading the catering team and person in charge on shift.
  • Managing the needs of the team as required.
  • Basic food preparation.
  • Temperature checking and serving of food.
  • General cleaning of the kitchen and restaurant areas.
  • Assisting with delivery and return of food trollies to the wards.
  • Responsible for the safe use of kitchen equipment.
  • General stores upkeep.
  • To complete any other tasks as directed by the line manager.
Skills Required
  • Experience as a team leader or supervisor is required.
  • Experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is essential.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 Certification essential.
  • Great communication and organisation skills.
  • Needs to be physically fit.
