A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a highly motivated Catering Supervisor to manage food service and production at Prince Philip Hospital. The ideal candidate should have supervisory qualifications and a professional cooking background. Key responsibilities include supervising staff and ensuring quality food service for patients and visitors. A flexible approach to work hours, including weekends, is essential. Welsh language skills are desirable, but English speakers are also welcome.
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed individual to join a very busy Catering Department. Based at Prince Philip Hospital, you will have the day to day responsibility for providing front line supervision support to all catering staff involved in food service and food production for staff, visitors and patients.
Applicants will preferably have some supervisory qualifications or a proven track record of supervising a large staff group. Due to the nature of the job, a professional cooking background is desirable for this role in order to be able to provide patient feeding and retail dishes. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills together with a flexible approach to the needs of the service are essential. The post holder will work a 37.5 hour week with a requirement to work unsociable hours and weekends & bank holidays. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
